Who We Are

About FGC Okigwe 2001 Set

One school. One year. One enduring bond and a shared commitment to give back.

Our Origin

Our Story

September 1995. Ubaha, Okigwe. A small town became the meeting point of children from across Nigeria, different tribes, different stories, one destiny.

Clad in white and blue, we began a journey that shaped our minds, our friendships, and our future. By 2001, we walked out as graduates, young, bold, and full of dreams.

It's 2026. We return not just as former students, but as achievers, parents, leaders, and visionaries. Twenty-five years of growth, memories, and transformation.

And trust me, the story isn't finished. More is coming. Stay tuned.

What We Stand For

Mission & Values

Give Back

We invest in the institution that invested in us. FGC Okigwe gave us a foundation; it is our turn to strengthen its foundation.

Transparency

Every naira raised is publicly accounted for. We publish project updates, budgets, and receipts. Donors always know where their money goes.

Excellence

The same standards that shaped us in school guide our work today: thorough planning, professional execution, and no cutting corners.

Community

This is bigger than the 2001 set. Every current student, every future alumnus, and every member of the school community benefits.

Legacy

We are building something that will outlast us: infrastructure and skills that will serve FGC Okigwe for the next 25 years.

Unity

Despite our different careers, cities, and walks of life, we speak with one voice when it comes to supporting our school.

The Initiative

The Project in Full

The FGC Okigwe 2001 Set project has two interconnected components, both aimed at improving the daily experience of students attending the school today.

Component 1: Structural Renovation

Working block by block, replacing damaged roofing, repairing walls, fixing electrical wiring, installing new windows, and repainting classrooms. Phase 1 (Blocks A & B) is complete. Phase 2 (Blocks C & D) is underway.

Component 2: Digital Skills Laboratory

Construction of a brand-new, purpose-built computer laboratory housing 40 workstations, solar-backed power, high-speed internet, and a dedicated space for coding, robotics, and digital literacy training.

Total project budget: ₦15,000,000. As of our latest update, we have raised ₦4,350,000, which is 29% of our goal. With your support, we will get there.
